Following the wake of the Nike Air Max 95 25th anniversary in 2020 comes a bold regional release of the silhouette. The AM95 has seen a plethora of renditions over the course of its life, this time with the eye-catching “Japan” colorway.

The upper is comprised of what seems to be retro layered advertisements, a colorful display of Japanese script and dated Air Max magazine clippings, nestled beneath transparent TPU overlays. The print continues to the tongue and is cut off with a black leather toe cap while the translucent outsole sits comfortably underneath a thick midsole complete with Neon Orange and Volt Air units. The date “3/26” appears on the lateral, a nod to Nike’s annual Air Max Day celebration and a possible hint at the shoe’s release date. The Swoosh is found on the lateral ankle in orange, the white laces come with reflective ribbon eyelets and a removable black band wraps around the shoe.
